On the 7th day, God made a day of rest.

Our pastor talked about this and made the comment, it is when you do not do the normal things you would do during the other 6 days.
For us we take a slow easy morning. We attend church when we are able. We rest by not going to work, and finding things to do around the house that brings us joy. It means family time and giving our best no.

We are busy. we are always doing something. We need to learn and teach ourselves how to slow down in this hustle and bustle of this world. stop and enjoy each other, stop and remember what it is like to rest in Jesus.
A friend polity reminded me of the experiences I have been through just since we have known each other the last 15yrs.
"wow, you have been through a lot." she said.
I fully believe that God places you in experiences for a real reason. Things don't happen to you just because. Do we learn and grow from everything we go through in life. heck yes!
So that is what I told my friend, and I also thanked her greatly for reminding me of those experiences I too have left in the back of my mind.
Will you look back on your experiences and think, man those were terrible and don't want to think about them. Or will you look back and think: wow... this is how much I have grown, look at me now.
God will never give you anything you can't handle.

This song has been lingering in my head. I am put here on this earth for a purpose. each and every one of us has a purpose in this life. A lot of us will never find that purpose because of the way we grew up or the routine we have gotten into.
Our jobs have become our idenity wether you are in the good fit job for you. 70% of us wake up every morning and hate going to our jobs.
when will you find your purpose that God has placed in your heart?
When will you seek out what God truly wants you to do.
Find your voice. Find your meaning. You are worth it!

It has been placed on our families heart to donate books in honor of denley's 6th birthday.
We will be donating books to the house of hope, a womens shelter..
There are 25 children, and our goal is to raise 15 dollars each to be able to give them at least one book.
There are 15 women too, and we are looking to purchase books for them as well.
I pray that we are able to full-fill this goal, and that we are able to full-fill our hearts of giving.
Serving the community in the way we know how.
